What’s It About?

“She felt that the universe had thrown her and Shane together for a reason; why else would they have been crossing paths since the beginning of their journey?”

Meredith yearns for the security and stability of a marriage. She believes that her and Chef Shane Thayer continue to cross paths for a reason; It must be fate! Unfortunately, her and Shane are the only ones who believe their relationship can work out.

Grasping at straws to achieve some form of normalcy, Meredith is willing to settle for someone who might not be right for her. Met with warnings from her best friend and both sides of one another’s family, ever headstrong, Meredith goes through with planning her wedding, anyways. She tries her best to impress her fiance’s parents, but they cannot be won over.

Meredith jumps out of the frying pan, and into the fire…

My Thoughts:

If you have read my book reviews for book 1 & 2 of the Meredith series, you know I am a HUGE fan of Meredith. I just couldn’t possibly like her anymore than I do now! And book 3, like the others, gets another 5 star rating!

I felt so bad for Meredith in this installment. She literally is jumping out of the frying pan, and into the fire, which is urban slang for leaving a bad situation, only to get into another bad situation. For instance, she left her controlling boyfriend Wes, and entered into a relationship with Shane, a man she isn’t even sure she’s in love with! Why, you might ask… well that is Meredith, and I think she needs male companionship to feel emotionally secure.

Holy cliff hanger! The ending was just, wow… I was pleasantly surprised! I cannot wait to read what happens next!!

Favorite Scene:

When Meredith compared Wes and Shane to roosters! That was hilarious! 🙂

I couldn’t breathe when she looked out the window and discovered Shane across the street. He really did have a lot of nerve! As if it wasn’t awkward enough already!

Recommendation:

Anyone who enjoys a story that revolves around a woman’s experiences. The Meredith series is full of drama and excitement! I’d recommend this series to anyone who enjoys women’s fiction!
