AWRW Book Review: Nothing To Tell (Campus Crush), by Ashelyn Drake

nothingtotellSome guys have the art of hooking up down to a science.

They know all the right words to say and all the right games to play.

Except…for guys like Mike Hannigan.

The dude has got no game, his pick-up lines never work, and to make matters worse, his wing-man is his female best friend, Mindy.

Until one day, a mysterious raven-haired beauty catches Mike’s eye and he’s determined to have her. He doesn’t care what lengths he has to go to. He’ll do whatever it takes to perfect his game and figure out what to say without sounding like a sleaze.

But…

There’s always something strange about mysterious girls.

They’re usually mysterious for a reason and this girl in particular might be more than Mike bargained for.

What’s It About?

Mike Hannigan is falling for a student on campus and wants desperately to impress her. His “wingman”, Mindy, tries to teach him to ditch the cheesy lines, and just talk to her like a normal person.

Fallon is different from the other girls on campus. She is mysterious, and has a take charge attitude. She also has a dark little secret…

Why is Fallon hiding in plain sight? Will Mike ever win over his campus crush?

Nothing To Tell is Mike’s story. It is part of the Campus Crush series.

My Thoughts

Well that was short but sweet!

I enjoy Author Ashelyn Drake’s campus novels. They take you back to a time when life was carefree, and all you had to worry about was your part time job, and getting good grades. Ahhhh, ‘new adult’ life. I feel nostalgic when I read her novels.

I really liked Fallon’s character in Nothing To Tell. Fallon is coy, and her coyness makes her sexy. She kept Mike at an arm’s length, which fueled his interest in her.

I enjoyed Mike and Mindy’s relationship. They were funny together, and related to each other as brother and sister.

The twist threw me for a loop! I did NOT see that coming! I mean, really… WOW! (I challenge you to read this novella, and tell me that you predicted the ending!)

Recommendation

I would recommend Nothing To Tell to readers who enjoy ‘new adult’ stories, and to readers who enjoy college romances.
