Book Review: Dust and Decay, by Jonathan Maberry

Dust and Decay is the second book by Jonathan Maberry in the Benny Imura adventure series. However, it does work as a stand alone, as I did not read the story before this one and was able to jump right into it.

First of all, wow, what a book! I absolutely loved it! Even though the main character is a teenage kid, I could relate to him. The author is just that GOOD. If you are interested in zombies, romance, warriors, non-stop action, and good against evil; you will LOVE this story.

The dead have reanimated… It is a different world. Very few have survived. The ones who have need to be “warrior smart”, or they will become part of the undead themselves.

Tom Imura, Zombie hunter extraordinaire has rigorously trained his younger brother Benny, and his brother’s friends Nix, Lilah (the Lost Girl), and Chong, in preparation to find a better life and fight off any zombies along their path. There is non-stop action along the way, a giant demonic looking rhino, countless “zoms”, and crazy killers to contend with.

Have they been prepared to fight adequately? Or will they be chomped down before they get to safety?

Find this out and more in Dust and Decay…
