Hard to keep your head on straight in Italy. Even harder to keep your heart.

But Amy expects a woman, and the man from Savannah doesn’t expect her surprise. From Rapallo to Venice, can they keep their pact for a platonic tour? So many temptations. So little time. They finds lots of excuses to break the rules because there are lots of surprises along the way.

Windy City Romance #2

Paperback, 262 pages

Published December 18th 2013 by Purple Egret Press (first published December 1st 2013)Genre: Contemporary Romance

“Venice, city of romance. And she was here with a handsome man from Savannah. What could top this?”

Days before the wedding, Amy is betrayed by her fiance. Devastated, she cancels the wedding, but refuses to cancel the non-refundable luxury hotel in Venice.

Her sister encourages her to sign up for Travel Chums, an internet service that matches travel partners. Expecting a woman, Amy is more than surprised when Mallory is a devastatingly handsome MAN!!!!!

“Time to take some chances.”

For one week, Amy will throw caution to the wind, and enjoy this trip. But this trip takes several unexpected turns, and Amy asks herself, who really is her travel chum, Mallory Schuster?

First of all…

Seriously… I am so glad that the protagonist’s canceled wedding wasn’t dragged out to death in this novel. Of course a canceled wedding is a horrible thing, but Amy flipped that right around, went on her honeymoon, and had a GREAT time. So Amy, you go girl!

Out of all the Windy City Romances, Her Favorite Honeymoon is my favorite! For starters, it is HILARIOUS!!! From Mallory seeing his life flash before his eyes while Amy is “driving”, (if you can call that driving, am I right Mallory?),

to Amy’s crazy family, and an expelled chunk of chicken… (don’t ask, just read the book!). This novel had me laughing uncontrollably!

What I like about the Windy City Romances is that the characters make reappearances throughout the series. It’s like coming into contact with an old friend again, and it made me smile to revisit the characters. 🙂

Her Favorite Honeymoon, by Author Barbara Lohr, is a contemporary romance with a happily ever after that I guarantee you will make you smile. I would recommend this novel to fans of romance!

Always a bookworm, she began by teaching writing and lit, while penning theater and book reviews. When her career broadened to healthcare marketing, her love of literature and writing remained. Her Windy City Romance series launched in 2013. In her work, feisty women take on hunky heroes and life’s issues. Family often figures in her stories. “No woman falls in love without some family influence, either positive or negative.” Dark chocolate is her favorite food group, and yummy food often figures in her work. Barbara lives in the Midwest and the South with her husband and a cat that insists he was Heathcliff in a former life.
