November was another great month in the blogiverse. While I didn’t read as much as I would’ve liked to, I still participated in book blitzes, hosted a giveaway, and participated in a couple book memes, in addition to writing reviews for the books I read.
Incredibly, Author Pete Barber stopped by as part of the Love Poison Tour, and offered 6 pieces of helpful advice for aspiring Authors, which can be found here. His guest post included tips on character development, plot, and a helpful critical website to help one grow as a writer. Bloggers, please feel free to share his helpful advice on your pages too!
I read and reviewed The Mine, by John A. Heldt, which can be found here. The Mine is a historical, sci-fi, time travel romance which follows a humbled man through a critical time in history, as he adjusts to his new surroundings, and wrestles with what he knows the future holds. And it was EXCELLENT! (And this is coming from someone who usually doesn’t go for sci-fi, nor time travel books!)
I also read and reviewed Please, by Hazel Hughes, which can be found here. Please is an erotic romance about an author whose life plays out like the erotic romances she writes…. unexpectedly! A great novel to steam you up! 😉
Next, I read and reviewed Binds That Tie, by Kate Moretti, which can be found here. Binds that Tie is a contemporary suspense, thriller that teaches you that flirting is harmless…. until you flirt with a psycho! Overall, if you like cover to cover suspense, twisted relationships, murder cover-ups, and loads of courtroom drama then Binds That Tie should be added to your TBR list!
Lastly, I read and reviewed Krengel and the Krampusz, by M.C. Norris, which can be found here. Krengel and the Krampusz is a dark, speculative fiction guaranteed to knock your cozy little socks off! So have yourself a scary little Christmas, and check out this novel!
I also wrote “Way Back Wednesday” book reviews on A Child Called It, The Silver Linings Playbook, Bitter is The New Black, and All That Matters. Instructions for my Way Back Wednesday book meme can be found here! I would like to thank those who have participated! 🙂
I also wanted to mention that I hosted my first Thanksgiving in our home! Annnd it was a success! Copious amounts of tequila kept me as calm as a cucumber. All that basting every some odd minutes for 4 hours, and all the sides and fixins are enough to drive a saint to drink! And yes, the madness will resume on Christmas when I will be hosting again! (Tequila will be at the top of my grocery list)….
So that was my month. How was yours? Did you get a lot of reading done?
April, we’re hosting at Christmas. I think I’ll take your advice regarding large quantities of tequila–sounds like a winner. You had a busy November. Thanks again for hosting the Love Poison Tour. Have a terrific Christmas . . . Pete
