“When there’s a witch, there’s a way…”

Darcy, a witch with the power of granting wishes, is hired by Elodie Keaton to clean up her missing mother’s home. What Darcy wasn’t expecting to find was the body of Elodie’s dead mother, under a pile of rubbish. Fortunately for Elodie, Darcy does possess a certain ability to solve problems, and now murders.

Darcy’s investigation leads her to Elodie’s charm-crafter boyfriend. Was the murder a crime of passion? Or was her murder a result of a wish-granting amulet? Now Darcy has to not only locate the boyfriend, but the amulet, before it falls into the wrong hands.

A Witch Before Dying, by Heather Blake, is a charming little story that blends magic, murder, and romance. I absolutely love the cover, and the idea for this story. I look forward to reading more wish-craft books by Heather Blake!

I gave this book three stars because at times it dragged a bit. Overall, I enjoyed this story, and I will read more books by this author in the future!
