Book Review: The Husband’s Secret, by Liane Moriarty

the_husbands_secret3“My darling Cecilia, if you’re reading this, then I’ve died…”

Cecilia stumbles upon a letter from her still very alive husband, and struggles with whether or not to open it. She tucks it away, and tells her husband what she found, and judging by his reaction she NEEDS to open this letter. When she finally does, it sets off a string of events that not only affects her family, but two other families as well.

At the heart of A Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty, is a letter that is not meant to be opened. Some things are meant to stay hidden. Cecilia, like Pandora, finds this out the hard way.

Depending on what country you are in, The Husband’s Secret has three different covers, all equally beautiful:

I cannot fully put into words how much I enjoyed this story. I borrowed it from the library, but this is a book I MUST have on my book shelf. I not only want it, I NEED it. The Husband’s Secret was fully engrossing, provocative, and extremely well written. 5 stars doesn’t even do this book justice!

“None of us ever know all the possible courses our lives could have and maybe should have taken. It’s probably just as well. Some secrets are meant to stay secret forever. Just ask Pandora.”
