Book Review: A Revelation in Autumn, by Wanda E. Brunstetter

** spoiler alert ** A Revelation in Autumn, by Wanda E. Brunstetter, is the 5th installment in the Lancaster County Saga. I’m starting to panic knowing that this saga is coming to it’s end, next book. I truly enjoy this heartwarming story.

In this book, Meredith has her baby in a horse buggy, assisted by her sister Laurie. The baby is born healthy, and she names him after her grandfather, and her late husband; Levi Luke.

Jonah asks Meredith if he can court her, and she happily accepts, much to the chagrin of her mother-in-law.

Meredith and “Eddie” have a close encounter and they don’t even realize it. This was a very suspenseful scene. I was sitting at the edge of my seat, biting my nails…

In the end, “Eddie” picks up a memory from looking at a watch that resembled his own from the past. He jumps up and declares he remembers his name is Luke!

I’m looking forward to reading what happens in the final installment. Will Luke and Meredith finally reunite? What will become of Meredith and Jonah, and Luke and Susan? Ideally, Luke will regain his memory, his wife, and unite with the son he doesn’t even know he has! What I really enjoy about these novellas is that they leave you wanting MORE. As with every novella before this one, I look forward to the next!
